Dear Prospective Sponsors,
The 9th Annual Jameson 5K at Southwestern Run/Walk and Campus Mosey will be held
on November 7, 2009, on the campus of Southwestern University. The 5K Run is a professionally
organized event with a race route on both the San Gabriel Park hike and bike trail and paved streets.
The Campus Mosey is a 1-mile stroll at a leisurely pace through the beautiful campus.
The Jameson 5K at Southwestern benefits the Jaysn Jameson Memorial Scholarship Fund
at Southwestern University. Jaysn graduated from Southwestern University in 1990 and died in a
scuba diving accident in 1991. Soon after his death, family and friends established the Scholarship
in his memory. Jaysn loved making people laugh and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was an avid runner,
which is why the Fun Run is an excellent way to preserve his memory and raise money for his
named scholarship. Over the past six years, the Jameson 5K has been able to donate over $35,800
to the scholarship fund thanks, in part, to benevolent sponsors supporting the event.
In order for this to be a successful event and to allow all the entry fees to be donated
directly to the scholarship fund, we need your help as a sponsor to underwrite
the cost of the race production. Southwestern University is dedicated to providing a quality
education to students. By becoming a sponsor, you're not only helping to provide scholarship money
for deserving students; you're also allowing Jaysn's memory to live on in perpetuity. Please review
our sponsor packet and be a part of this great event.
